Infant Teacher Position Description
Position Title: Infant Teacher
Reports To: Director/Executive Administrator
Location: Harvest Point Academy
Job Summary:
The Infant Teacher at Harvest Point Academy is responsible for providing a loving, faith-filled environment where infants (typically ages 12 weeks to 12 months) can grow and develop. This role supports early childhood development through age-appropriate activities while nurturing spiritual growth by integrating Christian values and teachings. The Infant Teacher ensures the safety, well-being, and emotional security of each child, fostering a Christ-centered atmosphere of love and care.
Key Responsibilities:
Faith-Based Care & Development
- Provide a nurturing and Christ-centered environment where infants feel safe, loved, and valued as children of God.
- Incorporate Christian teachings into daily routines through prayer, songs, and Bible-based stories.
- Demonstrate Christian character and model Christ’s love through words, actions, and interactions with infants and families.
- Encourage early language development with faith-based music, reading, and engaging verbal interactions.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
Health & Safety
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper diapering, feeding, and sanitization protocols.
- Ensure a secure and clean classroom environment that prioritizes infant well-being.
- Administer first aid when necessary and document any incidents according to academy policies.
- Monitor allergies, special dietary needs, and medical concerns while following established procedures.
Communication & Collaboration
- Develop strong relationships with parents, providing daily reports on feedings, diaper changes, naps, and developmental progress.
- Offer spiritual encouragement to families and be a supportive partner in their child’s early faith journey.
- Work collaboratively with co-teachers, administrators, and church leadership to support a unified vision of Christian education.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development, and academy-sponsored worship or fellowship events as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Christian Education preferred).
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of early childhood development and faith-based education principles.
- A heart for ministry and a commitment to nurturing children in a Christ-centered environment.
- Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift infants and interact at their level (kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs).
- Agreement with and adherence to the academy’s statement of faith and values.
Preschool Teacher 2’s, 3’s, 4’s
Position Title: Preschool Teacher (Ages 2–4)
Reports To: Director/ Executive Administrator

Overview:
Harvest Point Academy is seeking a nurturing, patient, and faith-filled Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom of children ages 2–4 in a year-round, Christ-centered early childhood education program. The ideal candidate will create a safe, joyful, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports spiritual, social-emotional, and academic growth. This position plays a vital role in laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning by integrating biblical principles with early childhood best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Classroom Environment
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote growth in language, motor skills, literacy, math, and social development.
- Incorporate faith-based lessons, songs, and prayer into daily routines to foster spiritual development.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and structured classroom environment where children feel safe and loved.
- Use positive guidance and behavior management strategies in alignment with the school’s values.
Student Supervision & Engagement
- Supervise and engage with students during indoor and outdoor play, mealtimes, rest periods, and transitions.
- Foster independence and encourage self-help skills through hands-on learning and daily routines.
- Monitor each child’s development and respond to individual needs with care and intention.
Communication & Family Partnership
- Build trusting, respectful relationships with families through daily updates, regular communication, and conferences as needed.
- Use the Brightwheel app to share photos, updates, and messages in alignment with school guidelines.
- Partner with parents to support consistent behavior expectations and developmental milestones.
Health, Safety & Licensing Compliance
- Follow all school policies, licensing regulations, and health/safety procedures, including cleaning, supervision, and classroom ratios.
- Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and communication records.
Conduct daily health and safety checks of the classroom and equipment.
Collaboration & Professionalism
- Work collaboratively with co-teachers and support staff to plan and implement classroom activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
- Demonstrate a Christ-like attitude in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED required; CDA or Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in a classroom setting.
- Familiarity with child development principles and early learning best practices.
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to Christian values.
- Ability to work in a team setting and communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in physical activities with children.
Volunteer
Job Title: Volunteer

Location: Harvest Point Academy
Position Summary:
Harvest Point Academy is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteers to assist with the daily operations, activities, and supervision. Volunteers will work closely with staff to help create a fun, safe, and Christ-centered experience for students. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop leadership skills, serve others, and grow spiritually in a supportive, faith-based environment. All volunteers will be required to undergo a background check to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
Key Opportunities:
Activity Support
- Assist with planning, organizing, and leading faith-based activities, such as arts and crafts, outdoor games, music, and Bible study.
- Supervise children during structured activities and unstructured free time to ensure they are safe and engaged.
- Assist with classroom management or group activities, ensuring that children stay on task and have fun.
- Help set up and clean up for activities, keeping areas organized and ready for use.
Supervision & Safety
- Help with check-in/check-out, ensuring that children are safely dropped off and picked up by authorized individuals.
- Monitor students during meals, breaks, and outdoor activities, maintaining a safe and respectful environment at all times.
- Assist with behavior management and resolving conflicts among children, always upholding Christian values.
General Operations & Support
- Provide administrative support such as maintaining attendance records, assisting with rosters, or helping with other paperwork as needed.
- Assist with organizing and preparing for special events, field trips, or themed days.
- Offer additional help as directed by staff and directors, contributing to a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Strong interest in working with children and contributing to a faith-based environment.

- Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction from leaders and staff.
